18 AND EAST is a hot new independent womenswear brand inspired by the vibrant music, fashion, blog and film scenes in and around East London.
18 and East required an online presence that would portray their Brand values very strongly, communicating the right message directly to the customer. The online brand needed to fully reflect the offline brand and the site was successfully launched in 2010. 18andEast launched a design revamp of their initial Ecommerce site in July 2012.
The individuality of the brand was at the core of our design and also influenced the features of the website. The Ecommerce Refresh included a deeper look at the calls to action, the integration of Pinterest into the website, while a unique image in the dropdown menu was added for greater usability and navigation enhancement.
An engaging customer experience was essential, and using the strong brand focused photography and an understanding of targeted customer behavior, we provided 18 and East with a ‘coming soon’ feature to provide incentive and sense of expectation for customers, this all expertly controlled through our platform Curo.
